Tone of Arc - Urgent Turquoise – (Om Records)
Tone of Arc brings a glimpse of real musicality to the underground scene by mixing techno, punk, funk, 80's and nameless styles into a colorful explosion of sounds. 'Urgent Turquoise' is their first full-length album for Om Records. Each song brings the listenersinto a deeper experience of the album and new standouts constantly jump out to give the listeners a refresh vibe. This album came out just in time for Halloween.
Strange Talk - E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N - (Wind-up Records)
Strange Talk, an Austrailian synthpop band from Melbourne has been busy doing rounds on the Aussie festival circuit since 2012 and has made a name for itself opening for indie heavyweight artists. Since then, the band has evolved and their EP, E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N is a musical testament of how they got their sounds back. The EP is full of synesthetic experience, flowing melodies paired with heavy bass, all tied together with electronic flourishes. My favorite track is "Painted in Gold".
