The Black Angels - Indigo Meadow – (Blue Horizon)
It’s neo-psychedelia garagey goodness with some fuzz and synthey undertones. But unlike most garage rock albums, the songs you find in this one actually have some enticing or rather compelling lyrics sure to spark some deeper thoughts in your minds.
Low - The Invisible Way - (Sub Pop)
It’s piano weeping music that is so mellow and melancholic. It’s the kind of tunes that make you feel alone in a hotel room on a rainy day after a horrible break up. It will also make you want to buy watermelons just to make you feel better.
Amatorski - TBC - (Crammed Discs)
Who likes Belgian waffles? I do! Salivating yet? This album is probably the next best thing. It’s ambient, atmospheric, and peaceful. It’ll make you feel like you’re not in the states anymore, but still at home. Also, good study music.
The Mary Onettes - Hit the Waves - (Labrador)
It’s just the right amount of mellow sparkly pop rock that will leave echoes and harmonies stuck in your head all day, in a good way.
Mudhoney - Vanishing Point - (Sub Pop)
It’s the kind of rock ‘n roll that’s sleazy, nasty, and junky, in a good way. I’m pretty sure it’s the only thing to listen to when eating cheap chicken nuggets.
Sheppard - Sheppard EP - Self-Released)
It’s sweet and popey guitar music that will get you smiling even on the gloomiest days.
Wall - Shoestring - (Big Picnic)
It’s soulful and poetic, with songs about being alone and the trees. It’s touching, relatable, and so beautiful. It will either make you want to stay in bed all day and feel bad for yourself or explore all the natural parks near your residence. Just depends on what kind of person you are
